Five-Year-Old Kindergarten Enrollment

To be eligible for Kindergarten for the 2024-25 school year, children must be 5 years old by September 1, 2024.

RETURNING STUDENTS: Parents of children who currently attend our 4K program enroll in August.
Parents or guardians need to show the following documentation when they enroll their child:
- Verification of your child's age (birth certificate, passport, or health record)
- Verification of your address (lease, mortgage or recent utility bill)
- Your child's immunization record
Children are welcome to accompany parents, but they are not required to attend.
If parents have questions regarding early entrance to kindergarten (4 years old on September 1), they should contact the principal of their neighborhood school.
Parents interested in Dual Language Immersion should visit madison.k12.wi.us/dli.
The Dual Language Immersion program gives children the opportunity to learn in both English and Spanish, preparing them to shine as global citizens. Parents must submit an application in order to be considered for the program.
