Parchment is a company that provides secure, confidential, electronic ordering and delivery of high school transcripts.
What are the benefits of electronically ordering and delivering transcripts?
Electronically ordering and delivering transcripts is fast, confidential, and paperless: You can make transcript requests at any time, twenty-four hours a day, seven days per week from any computer with an internet connection. It also allows you to personally track the status of your transcript requests and provides confirmation that your transcripts have been delivered to their intended destinations.
What do I need to have to order transcripts?
If you are under the age of 18, you will need a parent or guardian to set up your Parchment account with you. When setting up your account you will need to provide some basic information about yourself, including: address, age, graduation year, high school name, your school student I.D. number, etc. Please note that the email address associated with your account cannot be an Apple associated email address (@icloud.com, @me.com, and @mac.com). To actually order transcripts you will also need to know the names of the schools or organizations to which the transcripts will be sent and have a debit or credit card (to pay the transcript fees)*.
*If you are a student who meets the eligibility requirements for an ACT/SAT fee waiver (e.g., receive free or reduced lunch at school, are in the AVID program, are in foster care or are homeless, etc.) you are eligible to receive four free transcripts during your high school career. To access these free transcripts, please first go online and register for a Parchment account and then go to your school counseling office prior to ordering any transcripts.
How do I order a transcript to be delivered?
Click on the name of your high school below. You will automatically be taken to a site to create your Parchment account. If you are a senior and requesting your final transcript to be sent to your college, be sure to select "hold for grades" to ensure the transcript will not be sent until final grades are posted on your transcript.
Please Note - As you move through the registration process, please note that MMSD does not issue “registration codes” to students. Simply leave this item blank and continue establishing your account.
Once you are registered, the website will provide additional instructions for how to order your transcripts. Transcripts can be sent to academic destinations, (colleges, universities, etc.), the NCAA, the Common Application, or other destinations of your choosing.
The cost of a typical transcript is $3.75 and must be charged to a debit/credit card*. (Pre-paid credit cards can be purchased, for a small fee, at places like Walgreens, Walmart, and CVS.) Transcript requests to colleges and destinations that are not registered with Parchment require a slightly higher fee. There will be a payment page at the end of your order that shows you your total cost. Fee waivers are available for qualifying families, see your child's school counselor for more information.

What if I need an official transcript for a scholarship application?
Transcripts for scholarships are still free. In order to request an official transcript for scholarship purposes, please visit your school counseling office.
What if I want an unofficial copy of my transcript for personal use?
You may download and print a copy of your unofficial transcript from your Infinite Campus account for your own personal use. You can also choose to have a copy of your transcript stored in your Parchment account, (there will be a checkbox that indicates this choice as you move through the steps of setting up your account.) Please remember that unofficial transcripts will not be accepted for admission purposes to colleges and universities, the Common Application, or the NCAA. However, they will often be accepted by athletic offices, employers and even some scholarship organizations.
How do I know if transcripts have been sent?
After you have ordered your transcript you will receive a confirmation email from Parchment at the address you provided when you established your account. College admissions offices will also send an email when they have received and processed your transcript. You can log-in to your Parchment account at any time to track the status of your transcript.
Where can I get support with setting up or using my Parchment account?
Many questions can be answered using the information provided on the Frequently Asked Questions page on the Parchment website. If you need additional support with establishing and/or using your Parchment account please contact your school counseling office.
What if I am applying with the Common Application?
If you are applying to schools using the Common Application you should use the “Common Application” tab in Parchment to order your transcript directly to the Common Application. This allows you to order one transcript (and pay one transcript fee) to be sent to all of your Common Application schools. Before you are able to do this, you will need to create a Common Application account at www.commonapp.org. You will then need to: 1) write down your Common App Identification Number, and 2) invite your School Counselor to complete your Secondary School Report on-line. Instructions for how to do this are available in your School Counseling Office. Please note that you will need to order a transcript to be sent to the Common App again after first-semester (to send your mid-year grades) and then again at the end of the year (your final transcript) after your second-semester grades become available.
