Graduation Requirements
How many credits do I need to earn a diploma from MMSD?
Students must earn 22 credits to earn an MMSD diploma from East, West, Memorial, Shabazz and for the Class of 2023 and beyond at La Follette High School. Due to formerly being on a block schedule the class of 2022 from LaFollette High needs 23 credits to earn a MMSD Diploma.
In some cases, that number may be different if the student transferred in from another district, has an Individual Education Plan that identifies a different graduation plan or if they attended LaFollette when they were on a block schedule.
Capital High students graduate by portfolio.

It is essential that you monitor your credits to ensure that you are on track to graduate on time. You can do this by viewing your unofficial transcript in Infinite Campus (under Documents). It is recommended that you audit your transcript after each semester to ensure that it is accurate. This Reviewing Your High School Transcript tip sheet will help you know what to look for. Your school counselor is an excellent resource for additional support.
School Profiles
School profiles are an important tool in the college admission process. These are used by College Admissions Representatives. They allow secondary schools to highlight what makes them unique while helping college admission professionals better understand each school’s student body and academic offerings.
