Revising the IEP

Although the IDEA requires the IEP to be written at least once a year, the team may review and revise the IEP more often. Either the parents or the school can ask at any time to hold an IEP meeting to revise the child's IEP. IDEA 2004 allows sections of an existing IEP program to be changed without convening an IEP meeting.The parent/legal guardian/adult student and LEA must agree to this arrangement prior to the change, using the I-10AB, see below.
