A local non-profit is looking for adults interested in sharpening their professional instructional skills as they help adults in our community. In addition to bolstering their lesson-planning, program management, and professional communication skills, Literacy Network offers its part-time interns a positive, diverse, supportive environment in which staff, volunteers, students, and other interns all work together to create and maintain effective, enjoyable literacy programs. See the flyer and position description.

Literacy Network's adult literacy programs help local adults with basic reading, writing, computer, and English skills -skills that help students find career opportunities, read with their children and help with homework, improve computer skills, understand finances, and speak with doctors about health concerns.

Deadline to apply for spring semester 2017 internships is 5:00pm Friday, Nov. 11. Successful interns receive $500 as well as a letter of recommendation from Literacy Network.
