Congratulations to the members of MMSD's Equity Fellows cohort! Equity Fellows represent a professional learning community charged with furthering the district’s vision for equity. Over the 2017-2018 school-year, Equity Fellows will expand their skill and capacity as facilitators of staff discussions and professional learning focused on a teaching for equity.

MSCR Community Learning Center (CLC) Site Director Rachel Deterding of Nuestro Mundo was recently awarded a 2017 Community Service Award from Wisconsin Music Educators Association for her work to create innovative arts programming at Lake View Elementary.

Lights on Afterschool is a nation-wide event on October 26 that honors and appreciates the critical work that our After School Partners do. After school providers offer safe spaces, academic support, enrichment opportunities, nutritious meals, meaningful relationship, and countless other benefits to students and their families.

Launched over 40 years ago, the two Voyager spacecraft are still working and collecting data! These two spacecraft have set many records, inspired generations of scientists and captured the imagination of us all. Along with their Golden Records carrying pictures, sounds and messages from Earth, these emissaries carry our presence to interstellar space. Join us to celebrate these overachievers, and explore the current night sky.
