MMSD Summer Learning & Programming
MMSD Summer Learning Programs provide students with additional learning time and well-rounded opportunities to discover new interests and talents, and the possibility to earn high school credits. There are a variety of programs available to students which empower students to feel engaged, connected and supported on their way to college, career and community readiness.
Summer Semester Dates are June 23 - July 31, 2025
Joining a Summer Program has many benefits and most programs are free!
- Academics & Enrichment: Students will develop key math and literacy skills while exploring other interests. They’ll also have the chance to build friendships and community with their peers over the summer.
- Breakfast and Lunch: MMSD believes that good nutrition is a key to learning. All students receive two free well-balanced meals that help meet students' nutrient and energy needs.
- Transportation: Transportation is available to most students.

The Grade 5-8 MMSD Summer Semester program combines academics, arts exploration and recreation to improve students’ skills in math, literacy and social emotional learning.
Grade 5-8 Instrumental lessons maintains or advance student skills in band or strings over the summer!
The Arts Community Seats Program expands access to community-based music and performing arts summer programming for selected K-11 grade MMSD students.
CDF Freedom Schools provides summer and after-school enrichment through a research-based and multicultural program model
Join us this summer for a FREE immersive Career and Technical Education (CTE) Exploration and Skill Development Program designed exclusively for rising 6-8 grade MMSD students.
This program offers a unique opportunity for students to explore their interests during the summer while also earning credit towards graduation.
Summer can be the best time for students to recover credit towards graduation.
MSCR Summer programming includes fun opportunities for all ages!
