Superintendent's Wellness Advisory

The Superintendent's Wellness Advisory serves as an ongoing space for students, families, community partners and staff to share their experiences and recommendations to address current needs at the school and district level. Voices from this unique Advisory are directly connected to the Superintendent, Department Leads, and the Board of Education to better align the overall district and school improvement efforts with the implementation of the Wellness Policy.

Understanding Our Approach

The advisory is made up of representatives that reflect the diversity of the community including but not limited to students, families and community members. School and district staff including representatives of the school food authority, health and physical education, health services, building services, school safety, school board members, school administrators, health care medical advisors and mental health professionals.

The advisory meets in person four times per year and annual public communication will occur to invite stakeholders to join the district wellness council.
