Wellness Liaison Program

The Wellness Liaison Program aims to promote the implementation of the District Wellness Policy by building the capacity, providing support, and professional learning to schools at the building level. Each MMSD school and building has an established Wellness Liaison. At schools, the Wellness Liaison is the school nurse; at other MMSD buildings, the Wellness Liaison is appointed by leadership.

What does a Wellness Liaison do?

  • Serves as a point person connecting the school/building to district-level School Wellness communications, resources, and programming

  • Advocates to promote School Wellness for students and staff within school/building-level decision-making processes.
